Crowdfunding has become one of the most powerful tools for supporting causes, startups, and communities. However, public trust in these platforms often falters due to a lack of transparency in how funds are collected, distributed, and spent. To address this, a client partnered with Infinity Technologies to build a blockchain-based crowdfunding platform leveraging the TON Crystal token as the core payment and transparency engine.
The vision was to eliminate doubt and manual verification by giving backers full visibility into how donations move — from contributor wallets to final beneficiaries — using blockchain’s immutable ledger capabilities.
Business Challenge
Traditional donation platforms often leave contributors in the dark. After they submit their funds, there’s no clear way to trace how that money is handled, whether it reaches the intended recipient, or how it’s allocated across various campaigns. In regions or campaigns with limited oversight, this creates distrust and reduces donor engagement.
The client wanted to introduce a new type of platform — one that:
- Automatically and publicly tracks donation flows
- Uses a native cryptocurrency to reduce fees and speed up settlements
- Empowers donors to verify fund movement at any time
- Encourages larger contributions through enhanced trust
- Operates with minimal overhead and centralized bureaucracy
Our Solution
Infinity Technologies designed and built a decentralized crowdfunding platform that allows contributors to support campaigns using TON Crystal, the cryptocurrency of The Open Network (TON). Every contribution is recorded on-chain, and campaign owners can only withdraw funds in line with pre-agreed, auditable conditions.
Each project or cause registered on the platform has a unique wallet address associated with it. All transactions — whether deposits or withdrawals — are permanently recorded on the TON blockchain and are accessible through a public dashboard.
Donors can:
- View live donation totals
- Track individual transaction IDs
- Confirm the recipient address and timestamp
- Download logs for independent verification
Campaign owners can:
- Set funding targets, deadlines, and usage breakdowns
- Submit requests to release funds based on milestones
- Automatically notify donors when milestones are achieved
This creates an environment of radical transparency, eliminating the need for manual audits and increasing donor confidence.
